I heard that...it should be interesting.
The only problem is that they didn't actually film the movie with the true imax cameras so it may be distorted.

haha I said the same thing. My buddy that works at the local imax says he has seen the demo on it and it is insane and looks killer but we will have to see :)

Yup. I actually knew that a while before it came out in normal theaters, but it's pretty awesome. It is, however, unfortunate that they didn't film in Imax. That would be f-ing incredible (but probably a lot more expensive too). Regardless, I think it'd be sweet to see in an Imax theater. I still have to get around to seeing Reloaded again in theaters.
I wonder, are they going to start releasing special HDTV DVDs? HDTV signals are significantly higher quality than DVDs, so it would seem to make sense that they would soon start releasing special DVDs, or something. Idunno.
Yeah...that is gonna look pretty sick. For some reason I think that they'll have the bullets shot at you...and them stopping and dropping. It might kill the whole effect of that happening in the first matrix however. Speaking of matrix. Are you guys gonna get that Animatrix DVD...it's composed of 9 short films that is suppose to "give you a more complete understanding of the world of The Matrix."

Yeah...well, sort of. I have the Divx DVDrip (from my own DVD, of course. I did this for backup purposes...completely legal...yes...).

When I watched all 9 Animatrix, it really didn't give me a complete understanding of the Matrix... It just produces more question about the matrix...

it is a good thing to be at IMAX 3D here in seattle :) >:)

That is what I was thinking...are they actually going to try to explain the Matrix to the people. They are best leaving it to what the people want to understand it as. Part of the reason I don't think I will be buying that DVD.

Hey AI, do you know which Imax theaters they are going to be in?
The only one that comes to mind would be the Imax in Tempe. Arizona mills...bleh, you are 10 mins away AI...lucky kid.

The IMAX at AZ mills is the only one we have in Phoenix. Have you guys heard about Lion King in IMAX theatres? If you have, they reformated the normal theatre movie for IMAX. So what you will see with Martrix Reloaded will be the normal theatre version but beefed up for IMAX displays. I saw a segment on Tech Live on TechTV about how they did the conversion. I would bet that it will be shown in most IMAX or large format theatres.

I wonder how the sound will compare. If the sound isn't any better it's not worth going to the IMAX. Sound quality makes stuff so much more realistic than any screen can.

List of theatres playing Reloaded! (http://www.imax.com/films/now_playing/matrix_reloaded_theatres.html)
Check if your local IMAX plays it! Unfortunately there are none in AZ  . I was looking so forward to listening to those 12,000+ watts :o! Man this stinks! :sob: I know! I'll move to California!

Wait. How is there one playing in Rhode Island and not in Arizona? Those IMAX people...I swear.

It's especially annoying because we have the 6th largest population currently, and well, Rhode Island??? I am pretty sure they aren't bigger than that...
