Hello,
I am a nebie here but well work with computers all day except this gets confusing, please help me out.
I have:
FIC AN11 (no raid) board
Just bought
AMD 2400+ CPU
Fic says the board will handle a 2100+ but the specs on the 2400 and 2100 are the same as far as volts and FSB goes. I just want to make sure this chip will work on this board even though they dont list it as working. Or maybe they havent tested it and they wont becuase they no longer support the board?
Next question (jumpers)
For FSB the chip is at 266, the board has a jumper for 100mhz (default) and 133. My guess is 133 becuase dont AMD's double speed or some crazy thing?
Next is JP1_4g? For future Ratio-Unlocked CPU use. there is disable and enable, enable is for AMD CPU 1.4ghz or above and ratio-unclocked (which is default)
Next is ADV (CPU core Voltage setting and there is auto detect which is probably the best bet right?
I used to be all into this stuff but now just work on Dell's :)
Thanks for the help guys I appreciate it.
btw: I am a guy and tried to log in with my user name but forgot to...:(
