I want some help with the modem. I have the Rockwell RCVDL56ACFW/SP R6771-22 modem. I reinstalled Windows on a my second harddrive (drive D:) and basically everything is now on this drive. The problem is that I lost the driver on the stiffy for the modem, so I used another driver. I had Norton Internet Security 2003 installed. I uninstalled it completely and there is nothing that blocks the access. However when I dial I can connect, but no URL that I choose are loaded. The connection just stays at about 200 bytes sent (thereabout) and nothing are sent or received. (It responds just as if it is blocked still by a FireWall, but it can't be because nothing is running in the background). I have downloaded the driver from another computer and are going to install it. I am not sure if this is going to have any change on it, but I will see later.
Is there any known issues to rectify this if the driver does not change anything.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the modem numerous times (and Norton Internet Security) without success. Hopefully it is just the driver.
Could you give me any tips?
(I tried a lot of times and only managed to get the browser to download a URl only once, with lots of settings changes etc).
