anyone got any opinions on these 2 mobos?
im leaning towards IS7 now
its cheaper...
also i heard something about Dual channel DDR not performing as well on 875P mobos
and that single channel might yeild higher performance?!?!?

Well, I just called and received a RMA for the MSI mobo I just purchased. I ordered the Abit IC7-Max3, because it seems to OC the best of any chipset alike.
I thought about the IC7-G but for the additional $$ I think the Max3 will go about 50fsb's higher.
May be the extra cooling on the Max3 board.
All reviews considered the Abit P4 mobo's especially the 875P chipset variety are the best.
Ease of setup and OC'ability seems to be in the Abit's corner.
One review I read on the Max3 was over 300fsb OC where the IC7-G only would go to 250fsb then hit a wall.
Seems as though there is a 255fsb wall on most of these mobo's.
The memory thing you are reading about is only reversed by installing slower memory than the CL2 that was installed.
Seems as though any of the hi-end CL2 memory refused to post at any speed than 1:1, 5:4, or anything else than 1:1 would not post.
Don't sound reasonable but that seems to fix the problem.
I'm lOVIN this MAX3 more and more as day by day goes by.
