I used to be able to get it on the library computers (IE -> View Source (notepad) -> Open -> %windir%\system32 -> Under filename type *.exe -> Find cmd.exe and right-click, select Open (which will execute it).

I don't know about any commands to unlock stuff though

do "net send * your message here" .. every comp connected to the network will get a nice little pop up.. use with caution 8)

keep in mind, it will say Message from <your computer>: then the message

so it will very easily be tracked to you

shhh, you were supposed to make him find that out on his own :P

it depends on the system and what kind of settings you want to change. You can do lots of stuff through *.msc files (look for their names in the WINNT or WINDOWS directory. just typing the name of the file should open the window (not too sure on locked down systems). explorer opens explorer. Control panel opens control panel. i think that'll give you a good start. be careful and don't do damage

typing control is cmd will open the control panel, but I believe if you don't have permission to do so it will not

xp comps at my school.. go to run period and it says "this has been disabled from your administrator" but on some other xp comps it works.. depends on account.. yea if you're just in a lab they won't know exactely, just the comp

as far as i know, the net sends in my school are logged and have a time next to them. so if someone wanted they could find the comp and look up the user for the time period of the net send.

I woulden't.

besides if they have the message service disabled in the other school computers, it won't work

the trick is to do it on a unix machine over samba, you can spoof the hostname :p
