SATA Problem, Plz Help

Ok, so I just got a WD Raptor, and I've gone through all the litterature I can find, and I still can't get this thing to show up when im trying to install Windows XP. I hear you're supposed to hit <f6> when it flashes accross the bottom of the screen, but it doesn't do that when I boot off of the my installation CD. Has anyone else had this problem? Plz tell me I'm not alone :-þ

Yes to both questions.
It will show up on the bottom of the screen if you boot off the install CD. It just takes longer to get there.

Make sure you have Raid set up on your board or else it won't recognize your drive.

What mobo do you have?
If it has onboard SATA controller and also Raid Controller.
You must go through the bios and enable SATA controller as well as Raid for that controller.
After you have done this, attach your raid SATA cable to the controller for SATA.
Then after enabling these features, your drive will show up in the bios screen.
