I've had a set of Logitech Z-560 computer speakers for a few months now.
However, my dog decided to do a number on the control unit, rendering it
useless. Does anyone know where I could get a replacement?

Or at worse, I could make some sort of control unit to replace it, but I do
not know the pinout to the subwoofer. Can anybody help me here? From what
I can see there are ten (10) wires that go to the control, all of a
different color. Does anybody know what wire does what?

I'm assuming 6 for audio (FR, FL, BR, BL, Sub, GND), one to give power to
the remote unit, another GND for the remote. That leaves me with 2 wires I
don' know what to do with. Any ideas?

I would contact Logitech and see if they would sell you a new control box.
I have talked to the tech support dept there and they are very helpful. Just explain the situation you are in and I would expect they would sell you a new control box.
That way you would be back into the same situation you were in before the dog had lunch with your control box.

Tried a total of 3 times.

1) Called up and was told that I cannot buy that part.
2) By e-mail, they said I could
3) Called a 2nd time, said I couldn't, told them about my e-mail with the ref number, put me on hold for 10 mins, and repeated they could not sell me the part.

I don;t feel like paying another pi;e of money for new spkrs.

If they say you can buy the part by email.
Then order the part by email.
Don't bother with the phone.
If someone gives you a hard time, talk to a supervisor and raise cain.
I mean like a true texas can only do.
I'd be willing to say you would come away with a part.
