Hi there!

I'm building my first system, and I thought everything was going well until I finally started it up. It checks my RAM and everything is cool there, but then.... nothing. I go to enter BIOS setup, and it says that it's going to Setup, but then... nothing. Here are the system specs:

intel MB D865GBF
P4 3 gig
512 DDR400
XFX GeForce 4 FX5200
Maxtor 30GB HD
Panasonic 8x burner

That's literally it. Any ideas? Feel free to ICQ me, I would love any input you have.

Thanks!

Mike

1) intel motherboards suck
2) DDR is the standard and with that chipset (865) it only accepts ddr i think.
3) Try unplugging everything but the video card/ram/cpu/HD (essentials) and see if it works.
4) if that doesn't work, reset the bios

All set - I had my burner set up as a slave when it was a secondary master. Total duh. I appreciate all your input, though!
