In an attempt to bring this forum back from the very dead :coffee: I'm talking about my wish list and opening the floor to others' lists!

I have a pretty decent computer, but my eyes are about to explode because of my generic pos 17" crt! In my somewhat lengthy research of lcd's, i've found out that they're all good and relatively similar, except in the ghosting catagory, in which they all suck.
I haven't read a single bad review about the the Hercules ProphetView 920 Pro DVI 17" LCD. It has all the good things of the others, plus it's dead sexy and is terrific for gaming. The only bad thing i've heard is the not-so-hot viewing angles. I'm the only one using it most of the time so that's not a big deal. Unfortunately, this monitor is only availible in Europe as i've found out and the only place to get it in North America is directly from Hercules! At http://www.digitalriver.com/dr/v2/Ec_Main.entry24?SP=10023&PN=1&V1=621584&xid=39634&search_id=14913265&doc_id=2&DSP=&CUR=840&PGRP=0&CACHE_ID=0 it's $549.00 + like $8 s/h. A lot of money but i hope that it will be a good investment and no dead pixels!
Likely that's all i'm going to get because of the high cost but in a perfect world i'd want a 9800 XT, an IPod (or similar), a usb drive (those little sticks) and maybe some parts for my paintball gun.

If there is anybody here, what is on your wish list, or what do you plan to buy for someone, or whatever, just post! :wavey:

Well, I'll probably buy everyone in my band a CD. I'm bulding my sister an AMD system for Xmas. I'm getting her a AMD 2800+ with an Asus A7V600 board. Mom didn't want to spend TOO much, so I'm only putting a Radeon 9200 in there. It's not like she's going to be gaming beyond the SIMS anyway.

What does that watch do?

Turns out i prob wont be able to get that LCD i want cuz my mom doesn't want to have to deal with them cuz they only give you an e-mail address and e-mails just bounce back when we try to ask them questions and she doesn't want to have to deal with shipping it all the way back to Europe if something goes wrong.. back i go to looking for the perfect lcd!

you can take over tvs with it

imagine pranking your class with it turning the tv on and off :-P + just being ULTRA lazy and not having to reach for the remote

Well, I promised her the fastest thing for her money, and the 2800+ has dropped in price to $144, so I feel it's a good deal. The 3000+ I have in my system has the Barton core and I love it.
