Well, AOL has now managed to cripple Time Werner, the Co it merged with not long ago. AOL reported a 54.2 billion loss, probally the largest loss in US history. Time Werner's stock dropped more than half since the merger.
Netscape enjoyed 70-80 percent of the browser market before AOL bought them and IE was about 15 percent. Shortly after that purchase Netscapes popularity begin to fade as AOL inserted it's own hoggish options into every version. Now the percentage of popularity has totally reversed. Netscape can hardly claim 15 percent and IE enjoys 80.
If I had any AOL/Time Warner/CNN stock I would sure sell it fast- now. AOL is a rougue server, if you can call it a server, a server without foreplay !
AOL- Time Warner losses.
