From TechTV
Starting December 24th, the RIAA will be doing in-home searches. Don't let them take your freedom and files! Send your drive flying to the moon! (or down the block!) It'll cost you a drive and all of your data, but it could save you from an RIAA lawsuit and/or fine.

when/if it start happening, the backlash would be so great, it won't continue that much longer.
besides, I doubt the F.B.I. will assist a stupid company for something so stupid. They have better things to concentrate on, such as terriorism, and major pirate rings.
If the RIAA come without protection of the govermnent, they won't make 5 feet past my front door.

This is of course not to suggest that Techwarelabs suggests that you try to keep information from the authorities.
I myself think the microwave is a better solution. 15 seconds on high should effectively wipe any and all data, and you can easily say that you were doing research on the effects on heat on hardware.

better.....hide your songs in some folder DEEP in the foul bowels of windows
then use a 16 digit alpha numeric password for EACH folder
itd buy you enough time to get a shotgun and or a lawyer

Well, I meant that we all have some sort of pirated/illegal form of an app in one form or another... and if you are going to try to accuse me of hypocrisy, do it properly- its hypocrite, not hippocrit >:)

I have no illegal software on my system, other than mp3's of course. From OS to office suite it's all legit. There are, of course, several gigs of music videos, but it's not like I could buy those, so I'm not sure what they expect me to do instead...
