Moving the boards...

Would anyone have anything against moving these boards to http://www.hardwarepub.com/community ? SPAMI want to do this in order to better connect both of the sites. SPAMI have some scripts that I want to run, but the sites have to have to be on the same domain for them to work.

Tell me your thoughts!

As long as it doen't radically change the site. SPAMI've kinda got hooked on the current look and feel. SPAMBut hey I'll stick around anyway more than likely. SPAMIt's your board man.

I am actually planning on migrating over to phpBB. SPAMI am working on a script that will import YaBB to phpBB so then none of our posts will be lost. :) SPAMYou will like the look and feel of phpBB. SPAMIt will be at least 2x faster and we will have many more options.

I will keep everyone updated on the situation of the migration. SPAMIf anyone is good and PHP and wants to help out just let me know!

hey, if it is 2x faster, then it is 4x better. cuz faster is better and a fast plain site beats a slow slow intricate site, but if you can get the best of both, which, to a point, you have done, that is great.

more options means more opportunities.... i like the idea. SPAMEven forwarding NS, is a good idea. SPAMBut i do see what others mean that they have become attached to the look and feel

im using XMB atm, but im going to goto phpBB next week

tried to do phpBB first but couldn't get it working, so i went to XMB but i prefer phpBB2 so am going to make another attempt

i wonder if any of the people with like 1 or 0 posts on this site will care, or even worse, know that we move, are u gonna notify them via email, personally i feel that it is a waste of time but on the other hand a good if we want more members to convert to hardwarepub, good luck!

Most likely, if that is done, it will be done automatically. Can even make a quick program to do that otherwise. Which reminds me...we need to find more programmers for the forums.

Well yeah, i thought so, and programmers would be a good idea for this forum because those guys would be able to do more with the site and make it better, as well as save time while doing it in the process so that they can get their posts in. i moved to phpBB2 yesterday... its brilliant ;D!!

i seriously think we should move to phpBB2 SPAM;D

from the admin PoV it takes a while to get used to but once your used to it its great ;D

i have netsmog in my favourites neway... i know there is a poll but i prefer netsmog :)
