Two great articles...
The first, entitled Chips that see in colour (http://www.economist.com/science/tq/displayStory.cfm?Story_id=1020677), is more relevant to computers; it is about a new type of pixel that captures all three colors producing better images The second, entitled It's all just number-crunching (http://www.economist.com/science/displaystory.cfm?story_id=1165180), is about how many calculations the Universe has done when looked at as a computer (very, very, good article)
