When I first turned my computer on, it went straight to the BIOS Setup Utility. I thought I had pressed DEL by accident. But after I saved all the changes and rebooted the computer, nothing comes on the screen. There's just a continuous 2 second beep. And if I reboot again the Setup Utility screen appears again. So it's like an endless loop.
The funny thing is that it's always on the Advanced tab with CPU Speed highlighted. And under "Item Specific Help" it reads "During the last boot-up, your system hung for an improper CPU speed setting (...) , make sure the CPU speed conforms to the specification on your CPU".
I tried all the speeds available and the problem persists... I tried Manual, but I don't really know what option to choose on "CPU Frequency Multiple" and "CPU External Frequency (MHz)".
I also tried reinstalling the Heatsink and remove some of the grease. Nothing. Tried reseating the memory and the videocard. Nothing.....
OK. I ran out of ideas!!! What else can I do?
Apparently this is a CPU problem.
HELP ME!

The Multiplier should be set at 13 and the Frequency should be set at 166. (and with regard to Jason's statement, that's why you get Abit ;) )

The P4P800 is supposed to be a good motherboard, so for your price range, it's probably better than an Abit. But then again, in my opinion, the motherboard is the most important part of any system and it's not where anything should be sacraficed.

yea.. that's why i got it.. it's been a bumpy road but it's doing it's job.. i just expect it to overclock like a champ and not give me any crap while doing it.. and the max 3 wasn't out when i got this..

I managed to boot my computer! It was some ram problem... I was supposed to set it to run at 266 MHz instead of leaving as Auto... Now everything's working fine!
Thanks everybody who answered!
