I know most of us have DSL or Cable but there are still yet people out there using Dail up.

The national average for Unmetered Dail up is $19.95 +/-

Even if you have high speed connectivity it never hurts to have a dialup for backup. I use mine for testing client PC's etc and of course the dreaded day my DSL and Cable go down. Hasn't happen yet, knock on wood.

So anyhow here is Unmetered Internet Access for just $12.50 a month. No contracts, a credit card is required and there are 4000 pops so hopefully you'll have no trouble finding a local number.

Finally the link SPAM;D http://cognigen.net/surfbest/main.cgi?wizbones

And if available in your area DSL for $49.99 a month http://cognigen.net/directvdsl/?wizbones

Happy Surfing all no matter how you connect SPAM8)

Omega,

Thanks for the thought, they are actually a very decent service.

I was a the lead network tech for the local provider here in town who decided to outsource thus all of us got the ax.

Yessir, I get a little kickback if anyone signs up via my link. Doesn't hurt to get the pennies where you can to pay the bills.

For those of you who wish not to use my link you can sign up directly with Surfbest. Either way you decide to go it's a great service.

Later all, Happy Turkey Day and as I've learned this evening to the Canadians Happy very late Turkey day SPAM:D

There are too many free dial-ups. SPAMGranted, they bombard you with pop-up ads (that's why it's a free service) but if you are only using it for back-up to a potential dsl failure, why pay for it if you do not have to?

In Australia we had a bombardment of free ISPs about a year ago and now all of them (literally all) have gone bust.

A new one has started up (www.fishpc.com.au) which charges $99 setup fee, then umetered time and 200MB d/l.

They wont last long.
