does any one out there know how to hack the administrative passwords on windows xp. i got a lab top from school and it has the administrator password on it so you cant even install anything on to it.

with windows xp....... u can't get the admin one...... the others are easy as hell, but admin if u lose it we make people do a full system recovery

getting admin pass isn't hacking.. You can brute force it.. or you can get it through some linux thing.. not sure.. but there is info here.. (http://www.techtv.com/screensavers/darktips/story/0,24330,3625960,00.html) if they can put it on national tv.. i can put it here.. owned.. 8)

yea, having local access to a computer can hardly be considered hacking, unless you are breaking into encrypted files. as muc has i dont' agree with teaching people HOW to do this so they don't do things they shouldn't be doing, i'll leave the topic here. There is software out there that can crack any windows password in under 13 seconds, most passwords in under 3 seconds.

no...try 30-45 seconds for a password

and you need something called rainbow tables (which take up 22 gb)

umm.. no.. get a brute force prog and you can...not 22 gb...

admin passwords can take days especially if they have 1 + in them(one plus symbol)

i know that in XP there is a way to find listed administrator(and other) passwords within, ironically, the administrative tools, they are listed as asterisks, but you can get a translator easy enough - freind of mine used it to remove deepfreeze and install Ut2004 enabling a daily networked game of UT2004 over the school Setup accessible to anyone who joined. how cool is that?

I created an account(after someone else) and so forth

I wasnt detected...
BUT...ironically......they caught my school AIM logs talking to omega....guess what they saw?
