Right now all of my computers are running intel processors. SPAMI liked them but now AMD has stole the market and i will definetly buy a AMD chip for my next system!

Go AMD!!!! I have a 1.2 gightz 200 fbs Thunderbird and a weak 800 P3. The AMD rules kills the P4 in Si Soft Sandra benchmarks and COSTS a lot less to build SPAM;D :P

I have a trusty PII 400 MHz, and an AMD 950 MHz machine. SPAMI haven't really done much overclocking but I plan to do it to them this summer. SPAMAnybody have any good sites for more info on overclocking? SPAMPersonally, I used to think that Intel was the bad boy on the block. SPAMHowever, ever since AMD came out with their Athlon line they've made me switch. SPAMIt's just logical, you know? SPAMAMD has their chips that'll perform just as well as Intel's for 3/4 the cost.

Hello,
I am currently using an AMD K6-2@333mhz. I like AMD processors for the performance and price. Besides, Intel really SUCKS!!! I have used Pentiums before and always went back to AMD for reliability. C.W. 8)

I'm still fairly new at this game. SPAMJust built my first computer. SPAMBefore that I had a Micron Pentium 133 before MMX. SPAMNow I have a 1GHz T'bird on an Abit KT7A-RAID mobo, 256MB Micron SDRAM, IBM 46.1GB 7200rpm ultra-ATA hdd, Vantec cooler (man, I hate that Delta Black Label fan), Leadtek GeForce 2 GTS, SoundBlaster Live! Value sound board.... SPAMStill working on it, but it is a start. SPAMAfter I get done playing with this one, I want to rebuild the old Micron for my son.

Over here in Australia no one would dare ask that question because everyone already knows the answer, and they would probably be killed.
AMD!! It rules and always will.
I only have an AMD Duron 800 but considering the price difference between it and my mates P3 800, the little extra performance show's how much Intel sucks.

hello man,
i just want to say that i do not need a CISC processor because i do not usually play 3D games, so with a RISC processor, an AMD, is better for the equipment, and also a quite cheaper than the intel ones.

I see that I'm going to be in the minority here, but I like my intel machines, I've got a couple of old P1 machines that are still used every day by my younger kids without any problems. SPAMMy older boys are running PII's, one is a 433 and the other is an 800, they supposedly use them for school, but all I seem to catch them using them for is gaming and they are working great. SPAMMy toy is a Dell Dimension 8100, P4 1.4ghz, w/256mb ram & a 64bit NVIDIA GEFORCE video card. SPAMThis baby rocks at whatever I want to do with it, games, office apps, imaging, you name it and it happens fast! SPAMMy only regret is that I didn't stick with Win98se instead of upgrading? to WinME.

Why not just wipe the system clean and install Win98SE on that bad boy? :)

Well I'm using AMD at the moment. SPAMPentium just can't compete on price in the UK (that's where I'm from by the way). On average AMD's chips are about £150-£200 cheaper than the Pentium equiv..and AMD perform much better!!
I also saw some info about Pentium releasing the 2Ghz chip next month, MEGA POWER!!!, but also read that AMD's Athlon 1.5Ghz can outperform it in some tasks SPAM :D :D. Thats a Kick in the teeth if true!! SPAM ;D
If this is the case, what are Intel upto??
