Default Switched Network

I was just handed this sweet switch, 32 mac addr table, one meg packet buffer....so on and so forth.  I know switched networks were designed to increase speed, and the (moderatly) increased security was a side effect.  Anyways this FS3208 Asante switch will fail open ( = broadcast all packets just like a hub) when flooded with random, invalid mac addr's.  I was just wondering if anyone knew of a switch or manufacturer of switches that do not fail open.  Or maybe a neat way to modify my switch?

Thanks a lot....
