Other hardware hacking

Does anyone else like to hack other hardware in the house. SPAMI just got done with my portable phone. SPAMIt had a puny Ni-Cad pack and went dead way to often. SPAMSo I opened up the inside of the receiver with a dremel tool and made a new pack out of AA Ni-Cads. SPAMJust about doubled the size of the pack but held the same voltage. SPAMHoping it will give me alot more talk time. SPAMSo c'mon folks, any other hardware hacking running lose in the house. SPAMStereo with to many amps spliced together or an gas powered dish washer?

yep. the stereo in my garage died so i created the "monster stereo" from its ashes and other parts. it currently packs a 15" sub in its own 20 gallon enclosure with an analouge power meter, a radio, cd, amp, and two speaker towers taller than me with 8 speakers in each side.
its all dressed in black, with black cabinets (i built them from kitchen bench material) , black speaker grilles, and silver hex head tek screws holding everything together. it looks as mean as it goes....... and i'm d*mn proud of it (much to the chagrin of the neighbours lol)
