Default Firewall Minus OSI Layer 3 (Stealth Firewall)

I was wondering what the feelings and or ideas and suggestions are towards a bridging firewall (stealth).  It would make network troubleshooting a pain in the ass, but would add a nice form of mystery to the network.  Any ideas?

Could you give a topology of your network so we could better answer your question?

It's pretty vague, kinda like telling the doctor it just hurts fix it  ;D

Upon looking into it deeper here is a great article
