I recently deleted kazaa, thank god, it was killin my old computer, but anyways, i was wondering what everyones favorite p2p program is. I would make a poll but i dont now very many of them.

so if anyone has any suggestions? ive heard livewire is good and so is overnet. o and if anyone knows of one that doesnt have a lot of spyware/adware and or bog down your system thatd be great.

kazza is probably the best program for corrupting files, especially large ones. it has a poor implementation (i there is any) of error checking with its multisource downloading.

this topic will be watched. you can talk about programs, but no revealing how or where to download copyrighted materials illegally.

i personally don't use those programs to get free files...
I usually hack their source. It might be slightly b0rin but you get used to it... and start to get whatever you want quite fast.
If there is no such a source I just use these programs as one.
I might seem a g33k but i really hate the risk to get h4xed somehow...

of course you do. and i'm sure you just go to the corner store to grab the source to hack at.

Technically I don't think they are considered Peer2Peer since the posts/files are first uploaded to a server then someone else comes along and downloads the posts/files.

Go to http://www.cosmicwolf.com and pick up PowerGrab. It's free and it works great. Find a few groups you like and start digging around. It's real simple. Read the included README file in the powergrab Zip file for quick walkthrough.

Maybe we should try to recruit Travis to write us an article or guide; my knowledge is really limited on it.

I'll see what I can come up with, its fairly simple to do. I'll be sure to talk about the aftermath dealing with the PAR and PAR2 files. Very cool stuff.

ahh my low maintanance d-link.. unfortunately they stopped making firmware for it like 2 years ago and the security is prob not so good becuase I don't have to mess with it for almost everything.. oh well that's what zone alarm is for!
