ive recently expanded my 128mb RAM by a DIMM of 256mb, when i enter the cmos(bios) i can see TOTAL mem: 384mb, and then i see next to the old 128 memory (PC133) which i guess its okay, and then i see next to the new 256, (Not SPD). As you might have guessed i dont know a lot of computers, does anyone knows what does the Not SPD message stands for?, is that OK? thanks a lot :)

I think I remember SPD standing for something like Speed ? Detection or Detectable.

Serial Presence Detect. It means your motherboard's ability to detect information (clock, timings) from your memory

so, since it says Not SPD, am i having problems with my new memory installation, what can i do about it?

that means that the memory is being forced to run at a speed that it's not rated for. If you can't force them to the same speed in the bios, dump/sell/give away the 128
