Does anyone know the technical difference between PalmOne Treo 600 and Handspring Treo 600?! I live in The Netherlands, and I am trying to buy a Treo 600 through ebay.com, because it is very expensive here. I've noticed at the site of f.e. expansys.nl the Handspring Treo 600 (EU Import) and palmOne Treo 600 are only different in price, but are mentioned as alternatives.. :/ Which one should I buy?
I hope someone can help me...
:wavey: Diane.

i do not know of any differences between the two devices. PalmOne recently bought Handspring, so the difference would be labeling. Now, there might be another difference, and that is that there are two versions of the treo 600, CDMA and GSM, which work on different types of networks. Ask your provider which one to get.

The PalmOne Treos are exactly the same model as the Handspring ones. The reason for the two different versions is that the Handspring to PalmOne name conversion happened in the middle of the Treo 600 product life cycle. The only differences is the branding on the device and in the software. One says Handspring, one says PalmOne.
PS-If you are looking to purchase one, I have a PalmOne Treo 600 that I am looking to sell. PM me if you are interested.

right, keefe and i said the same thing. Handspring and palmone make the same phone, but there are two versions of the phone, as described, both of which were manufactured by each comapny. make sense?

Thanks. I read somewhere else that the A/C adapters are different. I also noticed that a lot of people have difficulties to unlock the phone; and I need an unlocked one, because the contract with my provider expires April 2005. In The Netherlands are only Treo 600's for sale with a contract. If I buy one f.e. in the U.S. I have little feedback and no guarantee, and it is still a lot of money.
Here, we have GSM/GPRS network. Is the PalmOne a good option?
Kind regards, Diane :)
