The new technology centers around labels which prevent CD copies.

Tools under review by the major labels would limit the number of backups that could be made from ordinary compact discs and prevent copied, or "burned," versions from being used to create further copies, according to Macrovision and SunnComm International, rivals that are developing competing versions of the digital rights management (DRM) software.

isos will probably defeat that... but its still a good idea on their part - at least theyre being more realistic about it than the RIAA

As long as our CD-burners have RAW mode, they will never succeed.

i think as long as they try to stop us, we'll find ways to thwart them, just cuz we can.

I still buy cds though, but I download a lot of music, especially from soundtracks that I'm not going to buy.

I never used buy CD's, and I still don't buy many. Radio is good enough for me usually, probably because we have a really awesome station (97.9 KUPD... Arizona's real rock). The stuff I download is only the stuff that I can hear on the radio anyways.
