nah, we rode out hurricane hugo in '89. and charleston took the brunt of that one. this one is going through FL first. just pray for those on the gulf coast of FL. theyre getting thrashed by a cat 4 hurricane in warm water.

edit: newer radar angle. http://wwwa.accuweather.com/adcbin/p...r1&nxsite=KTPA

warm water helps to add power to the 'cane, cold water kills them out. i dont know why, some meteorogical thingy going on there.

the atlantic coast is warm also, where i am here in the south anyway. the pacific coast is colder for the most part.

warm water + tropical storm = strong hurricane. fun stuff.

prob because the pacific is twice as large...

yea i just read up on it @ howstuffworks.. the eye is a scary place to be... because the wall surrounding it is the most violent weather..

ok, charley barley scraped us. it was just a big thunderstorm. i didn't even wake up for it.

but tropical storm danille seems to be headed out to sea, but could always turn. and tropical depression #5 is on its way to the gulf it looks like.

thats all for your techwarelabs tropical report, back to you.
