I currently have 2 stick of 256mb of OCZ enhanced latency series ram. they are both PC3200 and DDR400, they also both have a latency of 2.5-3-3-7. If i buy another 2 sticks of 256mb PC3200 DDR400 do they need to have the same latency as my original sticks?

I dont know for sure, but I'll take an educated guess, and say that since the memory controller goes at the speed of the slowest DIMM, it will do the same for latency. so, no they don't have to be the same latency. But if this is true, all sticks will be at the latency of the highest latency stick
this is of course an educated guess, I'm not 100% sure

can P4 mobos run 4 sticks of ram all in dual channel mode?
2x256 + 2x256 = 1GB in dual channel?
i know you can do 2x256 + 1x512 on nforce2 platforms because they only have 3 slots and it will still give you dual channel as long as each channel have the same amount of ram
ok to answer your question napster,
to run ram at the same low latency you need low latency ram
so if you still want to run the latency of 2.5-3-3-7, then yes you definately need something equal or better

I am running 4 sticks right now..
they do work in dual channel.. make sure that you get the same sticks though, or you're bound to have problems.. even with the same sticks i'm having overclocking issues.. so if you're going to be an OC whore like me, think twice.. i'm still not done struggling *running at 2.4 right now until I have time to play with it*
