i don't know what dragon is referring to but..
rtfm = read the _____ing manual :D there shouldn't be anything difficult about redhat to learn. if you can install it then you can easily play around with things. |
Knoppix was cool until it pretended to recognize my sound but it didn't work and I had no network access.. and my cd rom was too loud...

if, otoh, you are looking for a cheap OS that is easy to use w/o having to get a degree in CS, there are ways to do gui acrosss network for linux like remote desktop on windows (or rdesktop and grdeskopt for gnome/linux). However, I have not played with VNC and am unfamiliar with the RH way of doing things. i think googling for xvncviewer or xtightvncviewer might help some. good luck. post your results here!

oh ya and look for livecd's. you just burn the iso's and boot to play around, doesn't have to install to hard drive.
unfortunately i have irq issues with many older linux kernel vers. |
oh yeah, speaking of RTFM, do you know where i can find one. let me rephrase that, one that will actually teach me somthing.
thanks |
depends on what you'd like to learn and how pretty you like to learn it. i was referring to the man pages to learn the apps such as XFree86.
