Internet History Recovery
 

Hey. I really need to be able to recover deleted history from my internet. Can anyone help me please?

It might be in the recycle bin... If it's not there, you're out of luck.

Son been watching porno again? Anyways, it may be hard to find. You might need a professional to recover the lost data, or try to place your harddrive in the freezer for a day, and if you're lucky, the data will be recovered.

I think the microwave would be 'cooler' than the freezer.

Sort of a start over situation, it sounds like. If you aren't the only user on that computer, start making notes ...not great but it may be the only way!

So I'm SOL? That's really not what I wanted to hear. Well is there anyway to protect the history, so that no one can delete it?

I looked in the recycle bin but it doesn't appear that internet history information is ever sent there.

Has anyone got any other ideas?

Whne you empty the recycle bin all the deleted files go into a deletion que and that deletion que can only hold so much before other emptied garbage overwrites it. My co-worker knew a way on how to retrieve these files with some program, but for the most part you better off googling it. If youve already started deleting a lot of programs after youve cleared the history your probably out of luck, but id still try to find a way to save history anyways....

Well if you own the computer in question you can write a script that moves history to a safe location at regular intervals so you would have copies at any given time, even if someone 'clears' the temporary internet history.

make a batch script that runs on a schedule.
