Default Alienware 51m

The Alienware 51M is a clone laptop. Which means that other companies sell the same exact thing only under a different name. I have one of these clones and it ROCKS! You can get an Alienware 51M uder a diffent name at www.powernotebooks.com. Mine was a 2.4G P4 with 512 DDR ram, 40 GB drive, Radeon 7500 mobile and a Combo DVD/CD-R drive. All of this for around $1700!! That's right, $1700!!!

Default clones

That's a sweet price. Though I'm not sure, but from what I understand Alienware tweaks the piss out of it to make it faster. Can't beat the paint job either...

Anyone try to use one of these for music production?

Would you happen to know if hyperthreading is enable on your 3.06 alienware? As far as I know they are not enabled. Can you confirm?

the default setting for hyperthreading is disabled, but all you need is go into the BIOS and enable it, and there! you got "two" processor in one laptop
