Google GMail Doubles Storage to 2 GB
On the first year anniversary of Google’s GMail web and search based email service, Google has announced that it will be expanding the mail storage space from 1 GB to more than 2 Gigabytes of capacity.

if you use 2 gigs ... you suck at avoiding spam... that's pretty much the only time you're going to use 2 gigs...

I must agree that 2GB is a little excessive for an email account, its all about marketing haha. But still, the more the merrier I suppose. I even heard they are considering a terabyte of storage in the future, who would even use that much space?

ya.. its like people buying 40 gig player, you arent ever goign to fill that up unless you go after an Ares spree, but people buy them anyways. Main diff is that gmail is free, fast, feature-full, and a great fute ahead of it.

no, mp3 players are easy and fast ways to transport large amounts of data... I have my 20 gig player over half full... but if you get a g-mail account half full... you have issues

external hard drives are easy fast AND cheaper ways of transporting large ammounts of data. Why buy an huge mp3 player when u use like 4 gigs of music and most of it is filled with files. Bus powered externals are the shizz now and at very low prices.
