Default PC MicroWorks Laptop

I am contemplating buying a laptop for my night class next semester and I found this company called PCMicroWorks from a search and I have no idea if this is a good company or if I should stay away from them. This is what I'm looking at:

Do you want to have portability to where you could run off of the battery for an extended period of time? If so then this probably isn't the laptop for you. The Core 2 Extreme 9000 processor is going to absolutely rape your battery. It's probably also going to cost an arm and a leg. If you want something more portable look into the Vostro 1400 line from Dell. Very powerful, and affordable. Hmmm it seems like this is the second thread I have mentioned it. Maybe Dell should be paying me? lol

I would not in a million years trust them. Their configurator is mostly broken, RAM upgrades cost nothing, and the t9300 is LESS than the t8300 despite being a better chip... ummm? :P

maybe they bought them in bulk or something, also the ram upgrade is part of a promotion they are doing now.

What processor would you recommend? I'm looking for a 2 core.
