for one, its a 4 cylinder. two, it makes 115hp and 110lbft torque, my wife's saturn makes 105hp. its SOHC and doesn't even have VTEC, the ex model does though. and a spoiler wouldn't do a lick of good on a civic, due to the fact that its fwd. (from automobiles.honda.com, http://automobiles.honda.com/models/...me=Civic+Sedan)
now, is a new honda civic a nice car? yes. does it have awesome has mileage? yes. is it probably decently zippy and fun to drive? yes. high end? no. race car? no.

it is a new 2004 sedan lx.. ALL civics are 4 cylinder.. of course its understandable its no speed demon, but saying that its a low end civic is just plain wrong compared to other civics, there are 3 other models under it. Overall, of course its not high end, I would call a TT high end, but if you were talking in the lines of just civics is all im saying..
anyhoo,

nice flipflop...
Aemon is right about econoboxes.. there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, but calling it a "performance car" is a gross exaggeration.

I never did.. read it nice and easy so you can understand it. I still am backing my point about the car compared to CIVIC series.. not OTHER cars.

oh really?
If it's not low-end, that means you think it's high end... and if it's not even v-tec, it's not even a high end civic.. and it is bone stock.. and even if that spoiler were on, like aemon said, it wouldn't make any diff...

no shit it wont a make difference.. the intention of putting it is for looks, simply adding it won't give me +3 to speed . do you even know what vtec DOES.. you are making it sound like God.. its better than a standard but not by a whole lot.

My point about the spoiler was that it is stock, when you said it wasn't..
If you'd like to read about v-tec, you can so here: http://www.hotrod.com/techarticles/e...113_0307_vtec/
The point of a spoiler is to give the car downward force so that you have more control at high speeds. However, they also increase drag and therefore decrease efficiency. Since you won't even be goingthat fast, it's kind of silly.

you don't have to be cute and send me that link.. i already know what it is.. and you know that i do. And i know what the point of a spoiler is. I don't care really. I like my car a lot, and I'm only 18.. Everything comes and goes.

its basically variable valve timing. when you reach a certain RPM (imports will rev to the moon and back) then the compter tells the cams to shift- the cams on vtec engine have double the lobes, the double set is higher- so the shift moves the higher lobes into place, rasing the valves a little higher, therefore rasing perfomance at higher rpms.
my explanation.
later
edit: oops, a little late
