I think it's not about which Browser is the best, but rather which browser you should be using instead of IE

Explorer is getting better, it's not that bad...but still. Many claims have been made on Firefox being the best, but I find it "good" without being "too good." However, I would say that you should give it a try for a month, and then look at the spyware count, it should still be lower than IE.

I go between Firefox and IE. I use IE only for hotmail and script sensitive pages like my college's online class homepage. Besides that I use Firefox w/Adblock extention.

I prefer firefox, but have to use MSIE for a lot of my work applications, shame they can't get them to work for different browsers.

I currently use IE and have never heard of firefox. Can anyone tell me a little more about it and if it costs? I just know that I do not like Netscape Navigator (and when I started on the internet that's all I used, lol).

Like all other browsers in existance, it doesn't cost anything. It is just an alternative to Internet Explorer with less problems and hassle. It's full name is Mozilla Firefox, if you want to do some searches about it.

And Opera is also the best, though it is not open-source.

From some random "benchmarking" did with IE, Firefox, Opera and...perhaps others, most of the times (if not all of them) Opera scored the highest. So why is Opera still less popular than Firefox for alternative browsers ? :/
