No, Remote Desktop is correct. Remote Assistance is the invitation-based portion of it, but it's the same subsystem. [Windows Key] + Pause, -> Remote -> Check "Allow users to connect remotely to this computer," -> select remote users -> make sure the user you want to use is selected. Additionally, if you're behind a firewall (personal or hardware, which includes a router), allow/forward access through tcp port 3389.

Default terminal server in xp??

is there a terminal server in Xp Pro?

i know that in win2003 server there is one that you need to install before being able to connect with remote desktop connection.

but in xp pro i can only find terminal service, wich is started. But i cannot connect with RDC. I did configure the router with tcp port 3389.

I always get the message No terminal server installed.

I guess that windoss xp pro cannot be used as a terminal server..?

Thanks
