Default NTDLR error

Im trying to install xp pro on a new hard drive (160gig) and I keep getting
the "NTDLR IS MISSING" I dont have a disk in the floppy and my XP Pro disc
is in the cd drive yet I still get the same message. Ive tried this so
far... zeroing out the hard drive and Im pretty sure its partitioned,
reinstall those 6 xp pro boot disk and when I come the end of disk 6 its
says to remove the floppy & restart the computer (right before I do this I
stick in the cdrom) and I get the NTDLR error. So I try rebooting again and
same message. Then I remove the cdrom shut down the PC, turn it back on
insert my cdrom reboot again and get the same NTDLR error.

Im not too terrifically hardware knowledgeable but Im excellent at following
instructions. Also I should include that for some unknown reason the hard
drive (serial ata) is the FOURTH MASTER device, I dont know how to make it
the first.

I never liked booting windows setup through floppys, try using your xp cd to boot it.

Dawnn, so you are trying to install XP from a CD right, but everytime the computer boots it just goes to NTDLR missing. The windows CD isn't auto loading? Did you check in the BIOS to see if your CDROM boots before the hard drive?

I think what Jason425 was trying to get at was what can be found here. You'll have to excuse him, I'd like to offer an explanation, but we're still trying to figure out what is wrong with him.

Jason425: You'll have to excuse my blatant honesty, I can't help being an asshole right now...
