Default BFG Geforce FX5700LE or ATI Radeon 9700 Pro?

Have two older cards. The reviews on this site are from 2002(ATI) and 2004(GeForce). Is the older ATI still better?

I have an ATI 9800 pro.
For a long time it was a nice card, but now it says:
no openGL found.
(for BF1942, and sof and so)

Sometimes it works, more of the time not.

So my next card will definetely be a Nvidia!.

Yeah I know, but sometimes it's hard to find the right driver.

And when I install a tweaked driver, my pc becomes instable.

So I have to choose between 2 bad choices.
