Default showing actual dialup connection speed in windows

I just recently upgraded my system to Windows 2000 Server from Windows 95. I know that Windows 9x, by default shows
the modem connection speed in the dialup connection properties. Windows 2000 shows me the com port connection
speed of 115.2Kbps. Is there a way to modify windows 2000 so that the dialup connection will show the
actual modem connection speed instead?

Try adding the string &w2 as an init string in the modem properties.  If that does not work check out http://www.modemhelp.net for a different string for your modem.
