Online based word processor - Ideas

I'm not sure how many of you know how to do this, but I know thiers some way to pass data from a java applet into a cgi script. Does anyone know how to write an applet that will do this? I'm thinking of a online word processor using a java applet, that will look like a standard text editor.

Umm I did this for something I did once, about 3 years ago....cant remember how I did it, but I DO remember that I got the info from www.webmonkey.com and afew sites I found on ask jeeves.

Its actually a resonably simple thing to do. SPAM

(NOTE: I didnt do much of the Java stuff, just the Perl script, but it didnt seem too hard)

oh php wouldent be the problem. the java would be the problem
