Default Re: Streamzap PC Remote

I recommend the Niveus PC Remote instead. It's $40 USD and you get an RF receiver (based on X10 remote like from ATI), plus a programmable, 5 function, learning IR remote. You can run Girder for HTPC and use the same remote to control your stereo equipment or TV via infrared. It has four macro buttons, a large, round 8-direction mouse button with left and right click and all the standard buttons on a TV or VCR remote. There is a list of remote codes provided and you can learn individual buttons from existing remotes.

The five function buttons are TV, VCR, CBL, SAT, AUX and a sixth one, PC, makes commands go to the PC via the wireless link.

The RF receiver is an X10-based transceiver so it might even transmit to X10 modules for home automation. I don't have any X10 modules to verify this but it is listed in Device Manager as X10 USB Firecracker Interface and is recognized by the Firecracker software.

Here a link to the product: http://store.niveusmedia.com/s.nl/c....2/it.A/id.4/.f

The company is Niveus Media, from California, and they make HTPC boxes and remotes.
