Introduction
The Corsair H80 is an all-in-one water cooling solution for the CPU, boasting high efficiency cooling at an extremely reasonable price (under $100 at most retailers) for a water cooling setup.
When it all comes down to it, the value of a cooling solution can be easily judged based on three simple criteria:
1) How well does it perform?
2) How easy is it to install/use?
3) How loud is it?
These questions, once answered, will hopefully give a good idea not only of how well the system performs, but if it is worth installing over a less expensive solution.
For the comparison tests, the Corsair H80 will be going head to head with the ASUS Silent Knight AL, an air cooling solution of similar pricing levels and performance expectations. The test system is a Core 2 Duo E6850 running overclocked at 3.2GHz. The only thing that remains to be seen is if the H80 can live up to these lofty expectations, and how easy it would be to install for its target market of the water cooling initiate.
Excellent review. I didn’t know much about liquid cooling systems and while this was a review, the graphs and information in it helped me learn and make a choice. Thank you!
