I am very excited about the lack of drivers needed. I wonder how many operating systems this works on. The manufacturer states MAC compatibility on the website, and im confident it will work with Windows 7, but what about windows XP. I ran into this issue with Cisco Valet recently, no xp compatibility. Lets take a look.
The external packaging gives a pretty clear impression of the purpose of the product.. the bottom of the box gives the specifications in several languages, I have highlighted the English set above. The back of the box shows the three primary modes of use for the product, we will take a look at these options in our review.
There are some interesting contents in this package, I was wondering how the screen mounted to the laptop, and it appears as though its done with suction cups.
I am glad to see that GeChic has included interfaces for Dsub and HDMi. The suction cups also have come with mounting stickers for a clean surface the small clips that look like a spider symbol, are actually cable binders to keep the USB power and video source cable organized.
