Introduction
Kingston has released a new accessory for their popular HyperX family of RAM, the HyperX Fan. This little add-on adds two 60mm fans to help cool off your RAM in extreme situations. We’ll check out this little beauty on the bench and see how well it performs under pressure.
Specifications
At the time of this writing I could not find this product on Kingston’s website and I did not receive any sort of manual with the product so I had to do a little bit of googling to find what the HyperX Fan has to offer. Here is what I found:
Kingston HyperX Fan | |
Fans | 2 60mm |
Noise | 28dBA max |
LEDs | 2 Blue |
Unboxing
The Kingston HyperX Fan is a very nice looking piece of equipment and doesn’t feel anything close to flimsy. It consists of two 60mm fans in a solid frame, and two side panels that attach to the motherboard and are attached to the frame with 4 thumb screws.
where to Buy ?
Since it was just released, I haven’t seen it for sale anywhere as of yet. The fan is available as a standalone product that should be sold for $23, or bundled with Kingston’s 6 GB 2000 MHz (KHX16000D3T1FK3/6GX – CL9-9-9-27 @ 1.65V) and 1800 MHz (KHX14400D3T1FK3/6GX – CL9-9-9-27 @ 1.65V) triple-channel memory kits for Intel Core i7 systems.
When I find a place to buy, I will reply with a link. Sorry for now…
