Kingwin KWI-450 Power Supply
Review by David R. Hedges on 04.04.2003

Product provided by: Kingwin
Price: $68 (Newegg.com)

Conclusion
In almost all aspects, the Kingwin KWI-450W power supply rates extremely high in comparison to other units available on the market. Its appearance is professional and sleek, and adds to the style and cleanlieness of anyone's case. Its cooling, and the added feature of SmartFan technology, rates highly as well, offering an optimal cooling solution, with the least noise possible. The unit provides clean power, to sufficient numbers and lengths of power leads, and has enough power capacity to sustain nearly any system that can fit in a case. One major shorecoming of the KWI-450W, however, is an almost complete lack of documentation. Except for the writing on the box and the unit itself, no instructions, warranty information, or support information is included. And while for many people this won't be a problem at all, it's still somewhat unsettling to open a retail package to find no information enclosed.

The price is reasonable for mid-to-high-end power supplies, and should supply enough power for multiple future upgrades to current systems. If documentation isn't a major issue, this power supply comes highly recommended for performance, appearance, and cooling.
