GlobalWin Silent Stream

Review by Jason Jacobs on 4/13/04
Water Cooling Kit Provided by Global Win

Conclusion:

Global Win has created a kit with some great attention to detail overall. The Silent Stream will certainly not win any temperature contents but it does serve its purpose and will work to reduce noise in a system while producing acceptable temperatures. For a look at an actual installation and noise levels produced just click the link below to see a video clip of the system in use. Techwarelabs is happy to provide its readers with in use video of the Silent Stream product.

Silent Stream Video (2 MB mpg)

Pros:
Cheap introduction to watercooling
Internal or external radiator mounting options
P4 and AMD compatible
Quality manufactured system with extras included
Reduces noise to a low hum
Excellent Instruction manual that even covers leak testing
Easiest installation of a watercooling system currently available

Cons:
System will not compete with performance heatsink temperatures
Waterblock surface is poorly finished.

While Techwarelabs does award the reccomended product award to the Silent Stream we wish to make the readers aware that this is not a performance temperature kit, and the use of this kit on high heat producers may not be appropriate. This kit is well suited for SFF and HTPC's and lower wattage CPU's.
