Vizo Propeller Card Cooler

Author:  Matthew Homan
Date:  2007.04.16
Topic:  Cooling
Provider:  Vizo Technology
Manufacturer:  Vizo Technology

Testing and Conclusion:

Test Setup:

Nvidia 7900GS
Intel Xeon e5320
Tyan X500XT Motherboard
CoolerMaster Stacker 831

Testing Results
  Stock With Vizo Propeller
Idle 104 Degrees F 94 Degrees F
Gaming 125 Degrees F 116 Degrees F

As you can see the propeller sucessfully dropped the stock temperature of the video card in our test machine by 10 degrees F. During gaming the temperature drop was still 9 degrees F. This cooler definitely helps remove heat from cards and will result lower case temperatures as long as the case has good ventilation. It is important to note that adding a card cooler to a case with little ventilation provides no way for the heated air to be removed and fresh cool air to enter.

In conclusion, air flow or more general “cooling” is the key, to the performance and longevity of your computer. If you’re looking for a peripheral to assist in directional cooling, then we highly suggest you check out the Vizo Propeller.
