Kingston HYPER-X DDR2 9600 - 1200 MHz
Testing
To give you a comparison I decided to use the benchmarks obtained with using HYPER-X RAM against the benchmarks obtained by using Ballistics 1066 MHz RAM by crucial. The following rig was used to test the ram:
Processor | Intel E8500 3.1 GHz Overclocked @ 3.8 GHz |
Original RAM | Crucial- Ballistics 1066 MHz |
Motherboard | XFX - 780i |
Graphics Card | Radeon 3870 X2 |
CPU-Z of the memory settings and the processor settings before altering the system for overclocking. For the following tests we have used the following system configurations. As you can see the processor specs, the bus speeds as well as all other aspects are the same with the exception of the memory that were substituted in. The last set of images refers to the same Kingston RAM, however the process er has been over clocked even further and the clock timings of the RAM have been lowered to compensate for the difference in the speed of the processor.
