Packaging:

package1tn memory2tn

The packaging as delivered was nothing fancy by any stretch. The two DIMMs were in plastic blister packs which were held together by a cardboard collar. There was no additional information slip of paper or attention getting wrapping which would bring the "in-store" customer's attention. This kit appeared to me as a no nonsense kit in which typically the customer knows what they want and what to purchase.

Testing:

For out testing we are going to use the following software:

CPU-Z
Sisoft Sandra XII SP2b

PassMark Performance Test v6.1

For our testing we used the following system:

Motherboard:
Processor:
Graphics:
Ram:
Crucial 240-Pinn 4Gig RAM kit
Hard Drive 1X Wester Digital Cavier WD10EACS 1TB
Optical Drive:
LG DVD RW
Power Supply Unit
Operating System:

Microsoft Windows Vista x86 Ultimate

CPU-Z v 1.45:

Below is the the results of the memory and speed tabs from CPU-Z fro the Crucial 4 Gig 1066RAM kit.

cpu-z1
cpu-z2
The results are not very impressive, but respectable. The speeds listed here for 1066 RAM is on the slower side in comparison to other 1066 RAM TWL has reviewed in the past, but those were listed as performace RAM.

SiSoft Sandra XII SP2b

"SiSoftware Sandra (the System ANalyser, Diagnostic and Reporting Assistant) is an information & diagnostic utility. It should provide most of the information (including undocumented) you need to know about your hardware, software and other devices whether hardware or software. It works along the lines of other Windows utilities, however it tries to go beyond them and show you more of what's really going on. Giving the user the ability to draw comparisons at both a high and low-level. You can get information about the CPU, chipset, video adapter, ports, printers, sound card, memory, network, Windows internals, AGP, PCI, PCI-X, PCIe (PCI Express), database, USB, USB2, 1394/Firewire, etc."

The results were as expected for a memory kit of this performance listing. We adjusted the comparison RAM to be closer to the results we got with this kit, which were pretty low on the list of RAM options.
