Provider:  Achieva Australia
Manufacturer:  Transcend

Benchmark Summary

Just to summarise the benchmarks from the previous pages:

HDTach Benchmarks

Winning Choice!

As you can see from the benchmarks, the JetFlash 110 does indeed perform at very high levels raking in around 10MB/s transfer rates which (till now) has been scarce. Thats not all, these units are ultra compact, have very high storage capacities and are priced around the same price as USB Sticks cost about a year or so ago.

Transcend tells us that their 2GB models claim to operate at 20Mb/s, and their <1GB operate at half the transfer speed each iteration from 10Mbs.

Overall, this unit is very impressive, the bundled tools can come in handy (especially partitioning private/public areas for those 'ahem' files - thats corporate documents etc ofcourse!).

Pros
  • Compact
  • Large Storage Capacity
  • Impressive Transfer rates (Synthetic benchmarks & real life usage!)
  • Some good utilities bundled to make better use of the stick
Cons
  • Apart from the minor annoyance with sliding the USB connector in and out at times - and the chance things can go inside the connector, theres not much to moan about.
