Benchmarks & Conclusion

We'd like to thank Crucial for providing us with some Ballistix PC4000 DDR memory for our test system.  The rest of the test system specifications are as follows.  Unfortunately we didn't get as many benchmarks done in time due to time restraints.

  • AMD Athlon 64 3000+

  • 1GB Crucial Ballistix PC4000 DDR (512x2)

  • Powercolor X700XT graphics card

  • Hitachi 7K500 500GB SATA-II hard drive

  • Windows XP Professional SP2 (All updates)

In conclusion, overall, the Chaintech VNF4 Ultra Zenith VE is an awesome motherboard for the price.  Any user on a budget will be pleasantly surprised with the amount of features and performance you get with this board for the price.  The only thing to really worry about is the few layout annoyances, though we don't think that should be a primary concern when purchasing a board in the VNF4 Ultra's price range.  Even the overclocking options on this board are pretty good, not amazing, but good.  Simply, if you are looking for the most out of your system for the least amount of change, we recommend this product.
