First impressions:

All in all I was amazed at the versatility of the PCTV. This device was not only able to detect ordinary television channels, but it was also able to capture radio and HD channels on both standard cable connection as well as regular antenna that was included with the PCTV Stick. The whole kit did not occupy much space so I was able to carry it in my bag without a problem. The antenna that was provided with the stick has a powerful magnet that is used for greater stability proved to be very useful in the outdoor environment. A word of caution to those who did not know this already, because the magnet is so powerful, it may damage electrical components in close proximity. The difference between using the antenna indoors and outdoors is phenomenal. By being outside the noise was greatly reduced for almost all channels.

Installation:

Installation of TV Center Pro completed without a problem, though it did take quite some time. The time it takes to detect all of the channels depends on the setting that you have selected. Since I selected the best quality settings, the scan took another 20-30 minutes after the 15 minute installation of TV Center Pro. After completing detection, I then had to sift though the channels in order to eliminate all of the encrypted ones.

TV Center Pro:

The only test that I could think of for this device was determining the quality and stability at which it can output the digital and analog content. Needless to say, I was very impressed by the result. Not only PCTV was able to output the HD TV signal in near perfect quality, but it was also able to output the weaker analog signals with a more or less decent quality.

Recording content was not as easy as I hoped. TV Center Pro lets you select a wide array of options for recording including output format, location, chapters, and quality. It was also possible for me "pause live television" much like the option available in the PVR devices. I wish that the time record option was not as hidden as it is.
